Unable to link to product pages

Hi
I have created two sections in my shop (v7 Business package) with resulting two pages of products.
The page containing the links to these two sections has not updated and instead of linking to section x and section y, instead links to a "basic_products.html" page that must be a default.
How do I remedy?

Without knowing which theme is in use is a little tricky but all links (unless coded manually) should update themselves accordingly. Sounds like something is corrupt.

Take a snapshot and compact the database. Open Actinic and switch to the 2 new sections in turn and check the page name (ending in .html) .... I would be inclined to rename each manually (ensure you retain the .html extension) so as to force a refresh on the database.

thanks for the prompt reply.
I have only had the software for 7 days and have 5 or so products in each of 2 sections.
I did, however, insert a section using drag and drop and wonder would this action update any links>
Also, one thing I did not say was the database is still local and I have yet to FTP it. Am I expecting too much for the pages to link locally or do i really need to upload firstly then test?
