View Full Version : Editing Credit Cards

I am sending test orders to myself to make sure everything is working before I go live with the public.

I am using credit card captured for later processing as we already have a credit card machine and I am using my own credit and debit cards but the checkout will not accept my CV2 security number. When I deselect the CV2 option the orders go through but without the CV2 security codes I will not be able to process any orders!

I already have a full actinic shop that has been successfully running for years so I am not a novice and this actinic express seems very simple to use but it will be usless if I cannot take any orders so I really need this problem sorting.

Anyone any ideas?

Pauline

To Darren

I only have a problem with actinic express - the card number captured for later processing works fine with my actinic 7 shop.

Do you have actinic express and is it sending you orders with CV2 numbers?

I was meaning are you aware of PCI-DSS compliance. This thread might be worth reading http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=34718

I have been trying to solve my problem all day with email support who claim not to have been receiving my answer emails to his questions even though they are in my out box. Gave up and phoned support and spoke to a very nice young man (sorry us ladies get a bit like this as we get older) who agreed I have set up the site correctly.

Unfortunatley he was unable to solve the problem of Actinic Express refusing to take my 3 digit security code off the back of my credit or debit card at the checkout. He will ask a more senior person to have a look at what is wrong.

I have by trial and error discovered on credit card settings if I uncheck the requirement to take the CV2 number it will let the order through but if I make this a requirment it gives the following error message at checkout:

Sorry but payment could not be accepted using the selected method. The error returned was "Invalid CV2 number". Please try again.

If I fill in the CV2 number at checkout (when it is not a requirement) it lets the order through but it is not recorded in administration in order processing.

Basically the shop does not seem to want me to get the CV2 number. I am getting a bit fed up now as I thought this would be working quickly. I am in clinic tomorrow so it is going to be the end of the week before anything else will happen.

Anybody else had same problem?

Pauline

Hi,

The problem was caused by an extra return in the 'executive theme' template and has now been rectified so you should be able to set the CVV2 field as compulsary again and not get any errors.
