To verify your Google account you have to insert code that Google provides into the <head></head> section of your index page or upload a file.
I'm not sure what access you have with express. Are you able to see/edit the code on pages? Can you upload a file to your site via ftp?

Hi there,
I'm afraid with Express this is not possible currently, but we are looking into implementing Google Sitemap in a future release, however I can't given a specific date on when it will be available. Sorry about that
Kind Regards

You could try just adding the code to the text box on the home page and uploading. The text will be in clear on your site but then verify the page with google - when you get the ok just remove the code and upload to clean the page up.

I'm doing a little work on a friends Express store that is going live soon. Never used it before, only the full offline version of Actinic so am feeling my way around it!
Did you have any joy with this? Would really be interested to hear if you found a way to verify your site.
Thanks
Charlie
