Maybe Gabriel should do something similar after his experiences with his host these last weeks

Music to my ears.
I've been working with the sales and support teams this last couple of weeks, and generally when anyone calls up with a problem with their web host the first thing they ask them automatically is 'Are you by any chance with Fasthosts?'. 9 times out of 10 the answer is yes.

Woohoo, at last my choir is gaining members. The odd one is using Norton, AOL or BT. Without these 4 appalling services, there would be no need for support in the world.

I get the impression people are ermmm a little bored of fasthosts, 123 and godaddy - how many threads could be removed if these companies ceast to exist?

obviously 123 are not that bad if people are moving back to them after trying others. I still stand by my comments that they are very good with domain names.

Hi all.
From my experience 123 reg I will agree are good with domain names, until you want to transfer, change a server or do anything similar, I have known the simplest change to take about 14 days. The problem is speaking to someone who understands what you want, how to do it, and who is willing to do it.

You will find that the 123 control panel gives you all the control you will need to do all the tasks you mention. I have used 123 for 5 years and done all the above and more without ever calling them.
They openly admit that they do not give the support that some other more dedicated companies do BUT they are very cheap and if you know what you are doing efficient. If you need hand holding then you need to look elsewhere IMO

I agree. Their control panel allows you to change pretty much anything, as long as you know what you're doing. I've been moving some of my more 'remote' domains (the really old ones, mostly) to 123-reg as I much prefer their setup and usability.
Def not going to host with them now though :D

Our site has stopped uploading and downloading due to "timeouts" on Fasthosts. Fasthosts customer support has recommended changing hosts as they do not work well with Actinic!

Actually had more problems with the seventh site which is operated by a forum member, good fast service but a few problems
