Products undeleting

Hi,

Whenever i delete a product which is discontinued or out of stock, It sits on the database with a red cross on it.

Occasionally some products seem to be enable themselves? How can this be and how would i rectify the problem.

2 choices

either move deleted products to a hidden section so you can restore them in the future if thats applicable - don't delete them just hide them.

otherwise after you delete them (ie marked them with red cross, go to Housekeeping and purge content

discontinued stock, mark with red cross and purge as describe in my other post
out of stock - just hide it or just remove the addto cart (see tick box "can be ordered online) advantage of removing addto cart is the page remains indexed

Errr.... set the stock level to 0?
Shows an 'out of stock' message and no Add to Cart button.

Errr.... set the stock level to 0? yep another alternative, but only if you use stock monitoring.
