Can everyone that is attending the conference state whether they would like to meet up and also mention whether they prefer lunch or dinner meet?

I can 'do' lunch but not dinner as I'm driving back afterwards.

I'm staying over on the Friday, so can definately do dinner, not sure what time I'll be getting there though. Travelling from North Wales, so probably best not to commit to lunch.
If you decide to meet before I'll do my best to get there.

I can't do lunch. I doubt I'll be there early enough.
I'm already booked at the hotel for dinner though so I'll be around, if we're meeting!
Yay! :D

My preference would be dinner - I'm even considering booking into the hotel so I don't have to get down to Lee-on-Solent after the inevitable imbibery, until the morning.

Also, I'd like to be able to stay awake during the conference and lunch would probably result in me having a comfortable nap at the back!

Andy(Goz) is taking his pea shooter , apparently, so I'll get him to aim it your way every once in a while ;)
Just in case...

OK - the cat's out of the bag so I'll admit I'm going. The peashooter is to make sure that Tracey behaves herself in class!!

I can make lunch - not sure about dinner. Or staying over! Where is it?

So... anyone around for lunch tomorrow?

TraceyHand
30-Oct-2008, 08:58 AM
not me
Am going to be hard pushed just to get there on time, let alone early enough for lunch!
Car broke down...so we're coming in the van
Wouldn't be so bad except we can't leave until 9 (childcare)
Wish me luck...I promise to try not to roll up late!

What time are you thinking? I'm pit stopping in Western Super Mare tonight and travelling to the Hotel tomorrow morningish...

You're not going to get the sympathy vote from me Ms Hand. If you're late, you get the peashooter treatment! (and have to site at the front of class! :D)

TraceyHand

I want to sit up front anyway :p
I hate being at the back...can't see from there :D

oh...and it's MRS Hand :p
I hate MS. I'm a married woman!

Rich - I'm about 2 hours north of Winchester so I can get there whenever I need to.

As we're going to be assimilated at 13:45, those wanting lunch should aim for about 12:30? Sound reasonable?

TraceyHand

hahahaha
resistance is futile!!

Shouldn't be a problem getting there by then. Do I need to where a red carnation?;)

I expect to get to the hotel around 12:30 (train times - I'm not being keen ) so I guess a quick snack wouldn't go amiss.

Just wear the usual struggling Actinic users' hang-dog look :D.
Failing that, I imagine we'll gravitate in a similar manner to matchsticks floating in a bucket of water.

Yes.
(Based on the previous forum experience of trying to recognise each other from avatar photos) :D

More helpfully: Panagiotis and I hope to be there around 12:30-1:00

To avoid the embarrassment of having to look like my avatar, shall we say 12:30 at Reception?

Goz

I'll be in reception for 12:30 carrying the oldest Actinic brochure I can find!!

as Alan indicated we are hoping to be there at 12.30

it will depend on traffic and any roadworks

(and obviously the number of times the police will stop us seeing two actinic rejects on the same car since the word is out and they are making an effort to round us up)

Jo - thanks for the offer but the post won't arrive in time so I'll stick to my V7 stuff!

Kathy - still worried you won't be back before you turn into a witch? (or a ghoul or a vampire...?)

Nah - decided against doing the Halloween do in favour of the Actinic Conference - but one of our dogs is in today having major surgery and not sure when she will be home so going to be make decision last minute I think.
