Actinic & Crystal Reports

I understand that currently you need Crystal Reports 8.5 to edit any reports in Actinic versions 4,5 and 6. Can anyone at Actinic guess as to what we'll need when the next major release of the product appears. I don't wish to waste several hundred pounds on a piece of software only to find it useless in the future. Also any idea when the next release will be?

Surely Crystal Reports v8.5 will be required to edit Actinic v7 reports. Therefore v8.5 will be fine for you for at least one more year. As Crystal Reports v9 is already on the streets probably our v8 will use that but it is not sure at the moment.
