My current V7 site uses Nochex as its main PSP but have recently experienced a large number of customers failing to complete the payment process after being forwarded to the Nochex site.
Some are down 3D secure problems, but a worryingly large number state that the Nochex pages failed to appear or were given an error message but are generally vague descriptions of the problem.
I have contacted Nochex who say there is not a problem.
If anybody has time I would appreciate if a few of you helpful folk could spare a few minutes of your valuable time and place a test purchase through my website http://www.golfteewarehouse.co.uk and report back with any problems with the nochex pages.
Obviously stop short of confirming payment, (alternatively I can refund any test purchases).
P.S. I will shortly be relaunching as a V9 site using Actinic Payments instead
When placing a test order please enter the name as "TEST" so I can tell the real and test orders apart.

Worked very fast for me
Just created an order for some tees and got through to Nochex without a problem; selected a card and then backed out.
I then placed a real order successfully - although I'm not sure why nochex insisted on me having to enter a telephone number!!
HTH - but I'm sure it doesn't!!

Thanks Malcolm/Andrew,
Maybe the problem is intermittent .
P.S Andrew should I take yout real order as "Real" or a test order to be refunded.

I have also seen this problem. Last week we had customers continually having problems paying through Nochex. It seems to be ok again now.

I'm glad its not just me.
Hopefully Actinic Payments will be better when I change.

Nochex payment problem BEWARE!!!.
I have recently had a problem whereby Nochex have sent me message telling me "we have had to disable any withdrawal of funds from your account".
I have attempted to email them but have only received general 'cut & paste' responses.
It looks as if this is a relatively common thing for Nochex to do. Having a look about and reading about others experiences it seems that the norm is to freeze accounts, then send a couple of standard emails and then ignore all corrisponance all together.

Phone numbers removed but if you have any problems with Nochex then please submit a support request via http://www.nochex.com/contact-us/

I have heard many horror stories about PayPal, but I thought that Nochex was different.
I have now changed all of my checkouts from Nochex and would never return. Nochex are simply unsafe.
The lesson I have learn is don't under any circumstances leave money in any of these 3rd party payment accounts, be them Nochex, PayPal or any other.
My advice for what its worth is to stay well clear.
If you have to use Nochex or PayPal don't leave any money in the accounts and Don't send anything until the funds are in your bank account.

hi
i had the same problems with nochex, lots of customers failing to pay and shopping elsewhere. the 3d secure thing on nochex seems to bully certain customers. they also put the 'withdrawal limit' on our account so they could keep more of our money in their own account before allowing you to transfer claiming it was a safety precaution. we have since switched to netbanx and got a super rate of 1.9% and the money goes in next day too! bit of a pain getting all the paperwork live but well worth it as we have not had one single issue. i'd highly recommend them. also gives you a reason why the card payment fails such as security code incorrect etc which is useful as you can then telephone the customer with an accurate idea of whats gone wrong

Having to restart this old thread because this forum won't let me start new threads for some reason.
Has something happened to Nochex, does anyone know? My nochex payment page has completely stopped working and when I went on their site to look for help, I found error messages where their "knowlege base" should be, error messages when I clicked contact us and the phone was unanswered. Very worried.

If you are using v7 then look at this post: http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=47046

Many thanks. I've given that a go, but I'm still getting the same problem. I get an error 403 when I leave my site and go to nochex - it seems to be to do with permissions to view that page, so it seems that the problem would be something with how the Nochex site is functioning, rather than with how the Actinic side of things is working, but I may be wrong on that!
I've tried emailing them and had no response to that either. Can't say I'm feeling the love for Nochex right now.

Actually, I take the above back and I think it is something to do with the way Actinic is forming the link (although I think it is Nochex that have stopped supporting actinic because the exact same link has worked for years).
The link generated is very long including all the name and address details of the purchaser, cancelurl, responderurl etc - and with all of that, the error 403 comes up. If I just cut most of it out and manaully past the first section with my email address, the amount and the order number, then that brings up the page perfectly well without the error, so it seems the devil is in the detail and there is something in the full destination that is causing the problem.

I just checked one of my site's using Nochex and it is workling fine. Are you sure you changed the URLs correctly, incremented the version number and uploaded.

Yep, I did. Incremented from 1111 to 1112 and I even refreshed the whole site to be completely sure.
I wondered about the other url in the OCCUpgrade.ini "AccountRegistrationURL='http://www.actinic.co.uk/psp/nochex/'" Do you think that needs to be changed at all?

No that URL is ok.
I've just checked on your site and it is still using the old URLs and hasn't updated.
A purge and refresh may help.

Ah, thanks, that narrows down the problem. I did a full refresh last night, but I didn't purge first, so I'll give it another go. Many thanks for all your help! I'll let you know how it goes :D

You've solved it!
It was a very simple mistake I'd made. I'd had actinic open while making the changes and hadn't closed it before sending. After reading your response above, I thought I'd just try closing and reopening Actinic - and when I closed it down it and clicked database backup, it said it was upgrading files (sorry, I forget the exact phrase). After that I just did a quick site update and all was as it should be.
Many thanks - you've been a huge help.
