Hi Actinicers,

Current trolling thru Google Webmaster tools and stumble across new service called "Enhanced image search"

All you do is click a box to accept it.

QUESTION: Should I do it, has anyone else done it? Is it good ? Is it EVIL?

I'm interested in any SEO or to get anything better for my site to ease the Credit Crunch ("munch" as its known here)

THANKS

I'm very reluctant to try this as I don't trust the labeling. I don't want to encourage traffic that's not hopefully going to be sales related. I doubt people searching for particular images are looking to purchase.

There's many bad experiences mentioned on the net about it.
I'd be interested in others views here who have tried it.

it will only encourage image theft and hotlinking IMO

I agree - and I'm wary, howver, Matt Cutts did once imply that having this selected will aid your organic search. That said, I don't for the same reasons as Duncan says.

I agree, I would be very cautious about signing up for it, I can't see it benifiting sales unless you run a photo image library.
