Modifying order recieved email

Does anyone know how to add design text fields into emails?

I want to add the 'Purchase Order Number' field from Design Text, Payment Details into the order received template.

I can find the template via order manager or txt page but not sure what the variable would be.
Is it a NETQUOTEVAR ?

You don't say what version you're using, but if you just want a fixed bit of text why not just manually enter it into the email?

The data I want in the email is entered in the checkout process by the user into the the field ' Purchase Order number'.
I cannot find how to get this data onto the email, it is stored as a variable or ??? somewhere rather like the other details in the payment process.
Finding it and its name is the problem.

Editing the email template is the easy bit if you know the variable names.

Thanks for explaining a bit more. The 'design text' field you originally asked for, unsurprisingly, only contains the text in that field. i.e. "Purchase Order Number".

If you want the PO number that is entered then a search of the forum has the answer in several places.
