Adding product pages to category pages

Im sure this is so simple Ill feel a fool when I see the answer buttttt, I have a category that has around 140 products, paintings by the same artist, I do not want 140 paintings on the same category page.

My question is how do I cut the product listing down to say twenty items and start a page 2 ?

you will have to create sections with just the 20 products in, you could use the next-prevoius feature aswell
