Can't do a Site Snapshot (v6)

I'm transferring the site from a PC to a laptop but I can't do an export of the site snapshot. I get as far as the "save" box, I choose were I want to save it, give it a file name (today's date), click save and......nothing. Tried about 15 times and tried to save to all sorts of different locations including CD/DVD drive (2 different ones), an external HDD and the HD of the PC (just to see if the save would work somewhere). No joy with any of them. Also tried various file names. Nothing doingbthere, either.

Any ideas?

Do it the non-Snapshot way. Plenty of posts regarding this. Search for things like "Copy site to new system".
