Hi,
I've got a printer with multiple trays, and I want to use one for printing labels.
I'm having problems as when I change the 'page setup' on the tickets report to print from tray 3, it only works for that one print.
How can I save this setting, so that I can just print my labels without have to mess about?
Thanks.
Nick.

You probably need to set it up as the default tray in the driver through windows control panel but then all print jobs will default to that tray.
We tend to advise customers in this situation to install the printer driver again and call it something like "Labels Tray 3" and set it to default to tray 3.

Thanks for that, but either I'm not understanding something or the plan is flawed.
Actinic EPOS will print from any printer and any tray, if I manually set it for each print, which is obviously not ideal.
If I don't manually change the page setup, Actinic uses the default printer, and the tray loaded with plain A4 paper.
As I understand it, I would need to set my duplicate 'tray 3' driver as my default printer.
This would mean that all my other prints (from Actinic and other software) would default to being printed on expensive labels.
Surely there is a way to change the printer a report defaults to? I know I can do it in my own Access databases.

Hi,
Would I be right in thinking that I cannot use my printer in the manner I want to?
Thanks.

Probably the only solution would be to keep changing it to the Tray 3 printer driver that you setup, slightly quicker than having to change the printer driver to tray 3 everytime.

Hi
When you install the system it installs OPOS automatically you go into that program and select Pole Display and set from in there
Hope This helps

I think you'll find that in MS Access mde files the printer settings are built into the report and can't be permanently changed, they will revert back to the inbuilt settings each time you run the report. So I think the only option is to change the printer settings each time you run the report.
