Missing Orders

Hello
Can somone help please,
over the last two months we have had four phone calls from people who say they have placed orders with us, but we have recived no order from the web site, these people say they recieved the conformation email sent by the site,

Can somone please point me where i should be looking for these missing orders

From the tone of your mesage it sounds like you're not sure if orders went missing or not. The first thing I'd do is find out which orders (and how many) were missing to get an idea of what the problem is.

For example, all orders have a serial number so you should be able to check what one's went missing.

You should also be able to check for payments received with no respective order.

Only once I was sure of the problem would I start looking for causes.

You may find this hard to believe but you'd also better check that they weren't shopping on someone else's site.

I agree - we've had a few occasions when people have telephoned us with queries on orders... only to discover they didn't order from us at all!
