We are running Version 4.07.02 and have had trouble-free operation for a year or so.

This morning I opened Catalog, but when I clicked on an order, I got the following Error Message:

*****Cannot Open the Shipping & Handling Database. Make sure that 'ActinicSimpleShipping4' is a valid ODBC source.*****

I can still view and administer the orders, but not the shipping info.

Have any of you encountered this problem before?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

redards, David

Have you checked to see if the shipping.mdb file is present?

I had this error once when I was re-installing a site, I had simply forgotten to copy the shipping folder and mdb file

Dear Jo,

Yes, Shipping.mdb is in correct location.

Within Windows Control Panel, click on 'ODBC data sources', and add in a key for ActinicSimpleShipping4 as defined below.

1. Open Data Sources (ODBC)
2. Click on ADD (within the User DSN tab)
3. Select Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) and click OK
4. Enter ActinicSimpleShipping4 for the Data Source Name
5. Leave the description <blank>
6. Under Database, click select and select C:PROGRAM FILES\ACTINIC ECOMMERCE V4\SITES\SITE1\SHIPCONTROL\simpleshipping.mdb
7. Click OK and close all the windows

Actinic should now function correctly.

Chris,

That worked - many thanks! I have no idea what caused the problem in the first place, but it may have something to do with Actinic 'Hanging' last night before turning the machine off.

Thanks again for your help.

regards,

David
