Serial numbers

Hi,

After finishing a clients clients site we started another one but forgot to put the new serial number in. I assume that this means that the two sites are now under the same key.

Can anyone tell me how to change the serial number for the second site so that it has its own proper identity.

It's probably easiest to export the snapshot from that site, create a new site with a different licence key and import the snapshot into that.

Thats pretty much what I did except I just copied the contents of site1 and dumped it in the new folder created by adding the license.

Do you know if there is anyway of renaming the site1 folder to the clients name?

You can rename Site1 if you have more than one site: Check out the help section on 'Site Management':

A site can be renamed by clicking a site, waiting a second, and clicking on the site name again. At this point the site name will be editable. Make a change then either click on something other than the site name or select the Enter key on the keyboard. The current site cannot be renamed.

Problem

When I try to upload the site now (with the proper serial number in there) I get the following message.

Nothing has been changed anywhere on the site since the last upload so it must be something to do with this new code.

This error is suppressable. It may be that on your previous machine the error had already been suppressed. You can find suppressed warnings in Housekeeping | Warning Management.

I would upload the site to see if it works and is how you expect it to look and if you're happy the error can be suppressed. If not, then the templates stated in the error can be copied from the theme folder in Actinic ecommerce v6\Formats\Themes to reintroduce the original design.
