Start

Dog eats ethernet cable between switch and master computer

Everyone moans they are logged out

Google for new 10-15 metre cable, third attempt find local supplier

simple go up town and get new cable

Fit new cable, two slave computers work with actinic two others state no sync and wont let them in

Check all cables all receive google ok so cant be ethernet links

Crew fed up with switching on and off computers

Fed up with "How many more times"

Reinstall actinic on one of the computers, no difference

give up and go to work on master computer

Change sites and requests log onto local sinc!!!!!

say yes to each site in turn and low and behold all online

3 hours lost due to puppy liking plastic cable

Pupply hides beneath desk for rest of day looking sorrowfull

Have a productive day folks

Started feeling good - site snapshot works - yay!

then...

upload hangs with no error notification
reinstall Actinic
retry - same problem
get new hosting
re-try - same problem
re-try on another computer with different ISP - same problem
give up and wait for support next week

...it goes on, but I'll stop there.

drop of new stock in shop and inform staff no. 1 of new prices for chocolate
hour later what new prices from no.1 staff
new prices emailed over
2 hours later
staff no.1 , do you have new prices yet

staff no.2 waiting to price up with price gun at the ready
phone call to staff no.1 to confirm prices

staff no.1 goes to lunch taking prices with them, i think he eats them for lunch

staff no.2 emails to ask for prices
inform staff no.2 prices should be with staff no.1 or on computer email

staff no.1 seems to be at lunch some time chewing things over

staff no.2 getting itchy finger on pricing gun.

awaiting the return of staff no.1, think something must have disagreed with him

I'll keep it simple. Woke up and had to fix Actinic problems from the days, weeks and months before;)

Received JPG snapshot from a mobile phone saved as PPT at 8mb (should have been a 100kb file) ... their SBS server pumped it out over 100 times locking our SBS server and grinding internet access to a standstill.

Chris - I see you have the obligatory elastic band on the floor under the desk :)

I'd swear there is a little *rubber" band of pixes that drop these under every desk they can find. I could swear I picked two up yesterday, and now there's another one there

it's paper clips here.
Not a rubber band in sight but plenty of paperclips in every nook and cranny, it seems!

My paper clips are safely stashed in a Le Creuset Ramekin ... how posh is that

Aha! That's where all my paper clips went.......

Perhaps my elastic band ball has consumed someone's missing elastic band collection?

Very Posh, must be the most expensive way to store your clips...

mine are in a motorcycle supplier/brand mug
not safe though
they're not safe anywhere.
Plus, I ruin at least half a dozen a day by 'fiddling' with them!

Perhaps I should confirm my sanity: Yesterday my watch said 'Thur 12th March' - but today it says 'Fri 11th March' - Wtf, seems even watches don't want today to be the 13th:eek:

Well I could have sworn I had posted on a thread about switching Adwords off because the OP was too busy a couple of times yesterday evening but now I'm not so sure.

Mind in my teenage years I made a fresh pot of tea for my parents and put it steaming into the fridge so clearly I have memory 'issues' :)
