export csv and excel data missing

hello, in addition to my earlier post, i am trying to export from catalog to a CSV file or excel file, however, catalog says export ok, but when i open the file in excel it contains no or little data, i have tried reinstalling but to no avail. I want to be able to change all my product prices easily, any help many thanks

When I import the csv file the error log tells me why it did not import certain fields, which in turn allows me to fix the problem. In my case it was mapping the wrong import fileds.
