Cancel button causes increase in cart quantity v5

Hi,
This is all new to me , so sorry if this seems nonsensical.

I have had a number of customers e-mail/call over the last week all complaining that the shapping cart seems to increase their quantity each time they migrate between view cart/checkout/continue shopping etc.

I tried this myself, and following the process up to the enter name details page, then hit Cancel, which returned me to the site entry page. Then going to the actinic page revealed that the original item was still there.

is it meant to do that ?

This sounds like normal operation to me. If the only way you have of entering the checkout is clicking the 'Add to Cart' button then everytime you enter the checkout the quantity of items in your shopping cart will increase by one.

You need to use the 'Checkout' link on your navigation bar if you want to enter the checkout without increasing the number of items in the cart.
