V7 - Excluding a product from a search

Is there any way to stop a specific product from being found by the on-site actinic search?

Not in standard v7 Actinic.

This thread (http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=8730) mentions how you can do it with hidden products.

This thread (http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=13259) shows how you can do it by changing the product reference and excluding those (requires script modifications).
