Hi
I see actinic uses a KB. Does anyone else use it or something similar? And what are your thoughts on it?
Thanks

It depends on what you want it for.
These always seem very techie to me and not very customer friendly. Probably fine if the information can be nicely segmented and compartmentalised but maybe not so good for general type information.

PS. This might be better in the 'any other business' or 'ecommerce business issues' sections rather than V9.

Check out Smarter Tools - they have a product called Smarter Track (free for one agent), that is a complete online helpdesk and KB system. Even offers live chat. I use it and it is excellent.

I was going to post about [EXPLETIVE]'s Knowledgebase Manager software but [EXPLETIVE] is a banned word around here. It's what Actinic use.

Competition on the best cryptic way to say it without saying it? I'll go with:
One of Milan's football starting words along with a church pinnacle.

lol
will check that free one out. free is always good, although the japanese have a saying:
'free always costs more'
Just to be sure, is the dodgy euro footy teams product a pile of poo or fairly decent?

Seriously the SmarterTools tool is excellent - and completely free for one agent. The cost comes in when you want more than one agent. I have only ever used one agent and its just great.

Have you tried the Smarter Tools "MS Exchange" replacement? If it has broadly the same functionality, free for ten people sounds great compared to the equivalent of £200 per month we're paying for hosted MS Exchange....
