How do I add a link in a section template?

I have tried adding a link into a section template by using the Actinic html inclusion code !!<<a href="page.html">link</a>>!! and also tried using a CUSTOMVAR neither of which seem to work. I am not too familiar with Actinic 4 can anyone help? Thanks.

Hmm, you don't need to use the embedded HTML commands !!< and >!! when you are adding a link into an HTML template. You can just use straight HTML.

Could you attach the file you are working on please. You'll either need to zip it up or save it as a txt in order to attach it here.
