how do you restrict shipping to the UK only when using simple shipping

without trying it, and there may well be an easier way, but you could remove all locations other than uk from Advanced>Locations although it would be a pain in the butt to have to put them back in....i think you have developer though so you could try it on a blank site..

another solution is to edit Act_Order01 and put your own drop down menu on there that only has uk on it...i have just done a similar thing for someone and it works a treat..

The location one coud work, but may prove a pain to re-introduce locations in thje future.

so after thinking, the best way is to set up shipping by zones and have just one zone and one shipping rate
