Z-Read Reset crashing the system...

We're having a problem with the z read. When we go to reset it, the 'run query' status bar goes to about halfway and then the whole system freezes up.

Is there anything we can do?

You could try compacting the Epos database files.

Close down Epos.

Compact the files by going to: Start Bar\Programs\Actinic Epos\Compact.

Compact each file in the list, there are 5 files in total.

Thanks for that.

When I ran the compact on the z-read it told me that I was missing offowc.dll, so I downloaded that and put it back and now everything works - don't know whether it was the compacting or the corrupted registry file that did the job, but all's good now!
