View Full Version : Error when starting Epos

We have a problem with our Actinic Epos system when we shut the computer down last night it was fine we went to switch it on this morning we clicked to open it from the shortcut and this message came up saying

cant find the database file 'c:\checkout\checkout.mde.'

make sure you entered the correct path and file name

Then when we press the ok button the screen disappears


Any ideas

Is a stand alone EPOS or Networked version.

Guess the direction I am going is, if it is a networked version and the machine with the issue is not the source of the main Db, then maybe you need to go into the setup and check/adjust the paths to the database on your networked master, or if it is correct, make sure the machine has connectivity across the network to the master machine within the actinic db on it.

If its stand alone - then check the checkout folder has the required databases for: Data, Order, Stock Movement, system, Transaction, Zread and Checkout.

This issue was resolved.

A new Checkout.mde file was needed.
