alternative add to cart-image

is it possible to use flash/javascript image stuff as "add to cart"-button. For example a "rollover" image (as dw so neatly named it)?
I tried simply altering the act_cartbuttonimage, but couldnt make it work.
I guess i need a link/function something like a NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBADDTOCARTLINK sort of thing.... know what i mean?

hi allen.

ive done absolutely nothing that worked, so i changed it back to its original state. I was just guessing, and obviously I wasn't doing a very good job :(
