View Full Version : Where's the Knowledge Base these days?

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to access the KB by clicking the link at the top right of screen, but all I'm getting is a "Hello World" page!

The problem I'm researching is how to create a link that goes straight to the product on the page. I've done this before from an article in the KB, but it was a long time ago!

Hope someone can advise on either of these issues.

PS. I've also tried the search feature for the term "Linking to a product" but get the following error -

The search term you specified (a) is under the minimum word length (2) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.

Have a look at http://community.actinic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27 - dunno what's happened with the direct community link. Someone having a laugh. Or not.

I just want to confirm that no one else has a problem with the Knowledge Base link at the top right of the Actinic Community page.

The link should be to http://knowledge.actinic.com/ which will forward you to the knowledge base at

http://community.actinic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27

If anyone does have a non working link make sure you dont have a browser cache issue then either post here or PM me

nope definately does not work here, it was fine lastweek as i used it. But today in both FF and chrome with f5 pressed a hundred times it still says hello world.

Perhaps a htaccess redirect might be in order ;)

Same here.

If you hover over the panel, (after F5) something else pops up, so quickly you can't see it.

It's probably sitting on the Actinic intranet and looks perfectly fine their end..........

Give them time. It's 9.15 and they'll all be sitting down with their coffees. Pretty soon one of them will read this thread and go "Oh, f***. We forgot to redirect after making those changes."

Maybe it's because we're in a V7 thread and they ignore them?

PS: Here's Ben's post from the 16th (according to Google as it's gone now). has the link really been missing since then?

Actinic Knowledge Base - Essential Maintenance

Please be aware the Knowledge Base will be unavailable from 1730 today due to essential maintenance.

We are moving the KB to a different IP address and while the period of downtime will be minimal please be aware you may face some disruption while the DNS propagates.

well Ben seems to be absent these days, i recon Chris - actually if it is Chris perhaps he could chase up my problem about payoffline, sent the snapshot weeks ago and heard nothing (i have been reassured support was working great these days, but ermm lets say in the first time using it for years it seems the same as always :rolleyes:)

MikeWorks OK for me at 9:54 in FF3, and yes I did reload several times to check

Mmm.

We recently moved the KB server as part of our security improvements, and there was a bit of a **** up on the DNS.

Should be fine now.
