Hi,

I am sure there is a pretty simple solution but I am banging my head against a brickwall and getting no help from my hosting company.

I have two sites with said company and one is running fine and has done for 6 years, I have made no amendments to the settings on either site (both have identical settings, just different websites) and all of a sudden the 1 site says the password is no longer valid. Since then I have not been able to upload to this site.

i have been in contact with my hosting company and we first changed the password, this didnt work. We then have completely refreshed the site, to start from scratch. I enter all the details in the Network Wizard Setup

- Hostname/Address
- User name
- Password

- website address = then when I enter this I am getting the following error -

"The Wizard received an error while verifying the web server. Error Sending Request"

The hosting company say this isnt there error, has anyone had this problem or know how to resolve it?

Thanks

Graeme

There has been something about this on the forum very recently, I'm pretty sure that the ftp password is getting locked in somewhere within actinic, i can't recall the fix, but should be in this forum and quite new. Can you try swapping the network settings to see if both sites can pass the test using each others settings?

There was one recently about SSL, does it use SSL? if so check the password is the same on the SSL tab too and check if it works when SSL is off. Other areas to check for upload problems might be:

Permissions of acatalog and cgi-bin folders (cgi-bin 755 and actalog at 777)
Internet explorer not set to work offline
A script ID number change (as long as shop links are not hard coded)
