I'm trying to upload my v9 site from a hosted website to my dedicated server but running the network setup wizard I just gets this message and I can never complete it

An error occured while sending a http request to the web server. Perhaps your network is down or the web server is down. Try again ......

Do I need to change my DNS before I try to upload site to the new server?

Yes if you are using the same domain otherwise the Actinic won't connect where it has catalog and cgi-bin urls. If you have a new hosting account and it has a temporary address where you can view the hosting area, then you can enter that temporary url in the settings and it should upload and then you can test it out before changing the dns over.

Also check the paths to the cgi-bin/acatalog and folder permissions are correct on the new server as that could cause similar errors.

If you do have a temporary url for the new server then its best to test it with that first though and get it working, rather that then change dns and then testing the settings afterwards and running into a problem and having to change the dns back. Just to make sure it all works.
