i am running a membershipship site and i am offering current membership an offer everytime they recommend some-one else to subscribe is there anyway that some-one wanting to become a member can input an excisting members number or code so that i no who has recommended them so that they can recieve there special offer thanks

The only thing I can think of is to set up a user definable field in the checkout as the field that says 'Please enter an existing membership number'.

If you use 'user definable 3' for this in 'Design | Text | Web Site (cont) | General Information' then you can use the 'Transaction by referrer' report to group all your orders by the 'user definable 3' answers.
