Free shipping to UK over £45

My client wants to offer free shipping within the UK (excl Channel Islands!) on orders over £45 up until Xmas. All other worldwide shipping zones are to remain incremental.

I have been tinkering with the shipping options but it seems that the "Free over" option in the Business Settings is global. Has anyone else tried doing this and if so could you point me in the right direction?

I'm guessing you are shipping by weight. Shame that - otherwise it is really simple to set up.

Sadly. when shipping by weight there is no way to get free shipping on a class by class basis. I will add this to the wish list.

Yes we are shipping by weight. We had a look at shipping by value but because of the diversity of weight and prices for the products, it would be a nightmare to set up! What we are looking at now is a slightly different pricing structure and then adding discounts, so we should be able to get around it that way.

It would be a really useful function if free shipping could by added on a class by class basis - thanks for putting it on the Xmas list!

It is quite a sophisticated change which will require quite a lot of changes so please don't expect it very soon. It certainly won't be in 7.0.2.
