I would be grateful for honest opinions on this site: http://www.nationwide-trailer-parts.co.uk

I guess from the '0' replies so far everyone is quite impressed with the site. You haven't fallen into many of the traps that usually get picked-up here. I would however stick your 0800 phone number up in the header area. Also, many here have modified the settings on the basket so as to avoid the delay then auto bounce-back (which has confused customers in the past).
I think the site is well presented, has a good 'tone' for the types of customers you serve. and should serve you well.

Your home page "Buy Online 24/7" icon doesn't link anywhere. That's the first thing I tried to enter the store proper so it would be worth making this a link to the store top.

Thanks for your responses. I will look to add the telephone number at the top and link direct to the store as suggested.
Ho ho bird: what do you mean by the modified basket settings? Could you expand as I am unsure as to what you mean.
Thanks again for your help.

I think what Ho Ho means is this:
when a user adds something to the cart, they are given a view of the cart, which then returns to the page with the selected item on after a preset amount of time (the bounce back).
Ideally, when an item is added to the cart, the user should be presented with the same view of the cart as if the user were to subsequently click on 'View Cart' - this then offers the user the choice of a few different actions, instead of assuming they will want to go back to the selected item page.
Also, the page design is broken when viewed in Opera.
Good site though!

Hi.
Sean has correctly described the method of operation I was suggesting. Users seem to find it unnerving when the cart bounces back on its own after a delay of a couple of seconds. With this change, users are forced to declare whether they want to Continue/Checkout etc.
I can't quite remember how I did it, but it was by following advice on here. It would of been easy as I don't do complicated!
.........Actually I've had a look at my setting (I'm in V8) and I think I just set 'Bounce Page delay' to 0. I get to this option by selecting 'Design' from the top menu, then 'Design Options' and you'll find the 'Bounce Page delay'.. I bet yours is set to 3 or similar.
Hope that helps.
Peter
