We sell replacement parts for two brands of headphones. Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser.

A single replacement part can often be used with one or more sets of headphones.

I would like to set up a system where a customer chooses the headphone model and the replacement parts and prices are displayed accordingly.

Any suggestions how we could do this?

Thanks.

Nick

If you have Business you could investigate Custom Properties which can be made searchable.

However you may have the sort of many to one relationship that won't fit in too well with what you require. I.e. one part matching lots of possible products.

So why not put the Matching Product list right into the description of each spare and use search to find it.

E.g.
Product Ref SPR001
Short Desc SPARE CUFF
Long Desc Replacement Ear Cuff
Fits MODEL-001
Fits MODEL-005
etc.

So someone searching for MODEL-005 would get this product listed in the search results.

It would be easy to put a custom search button into each main product marked "List all spares" that searches for the product reference associated with that product and returns the appropriate spares list.
