Hi there,

Quite recently we've had more and more customers e-mailing us saying they are getting 'general script errors' when trying to place orders online. Whenever someone here in the office processes an order through our website all appears to be fine and we do get other orders placed by customers all the time. Obviously we are losing those sales where this error is occuring!
Anyone know why this is happenening and why it has just recently started?

Here is an example of the exact error message

A General Script Error Occurred

It looks to me like the Norton Firewall problem

Are you patched right up to date with the final norton patch?

Pinbrook ~ we aren't running the norton firewall on our server and this has only started quite recently without any changes having been made to the server

Hi Ewan

The error occurs when shoppers are viewing your site through a firewall - a description of the problem is in this kb article (http://knowledge.actinic.com/users/kadmin/cgi-bin/ss000007.pl?PRODREF=GC37&NOLOGIN=1&ACTINIC_REFERRER=http://knowledge.actinic.com/users/kadmin/acatalog/). It can be resolved by upgrading to the latest maintenance release (available here (http://www.actinicdownloads.com/v4/)).
