Am getting the above error on random products ( not all). Have compacted db and site refreshed but not cleared the problem - any ideas out there please.

"Sorted all problems - Norton Firewall getting in the way - turned it off, refreshed site and everything now works fine".

Try this Google search string:
"has just been removed from the catalog" site:community.actinic.com
it will bring up a number of similar issues that may help.

Thanks ... these threads are not exactly the same problem, but there are a lot of red x's temporarily deleting products - but there always has been. Problem is - really do not really want to purge the catalog db as we have lots of returning seasonal products which we un-delete to bring back in. Will have a tinker and see how it goes. PS - none of the found offending products have or are themselves duplicates ?

Why don't you then create a new product section, tick Hide on Website and Exclude from Google product search data feed, move your deleted products into this new section, undelete them and tick Hide on Website for each one?

(if this is possible in v7)

After a long(ish day) - a manual clean out of the deleted red cross items, a catalog db purge and compacting the db we seem to be back up and running - thanks guys.
