can i delete large 'core' files in cgi-bin?

Hi All

My website is getting a little bloated size wise after a number of years. There are two particlularly large file files (60 plus megs and 130 plus megs) in my cgi-bin both named core.12345 (not the real number) .

Both date from 3rd June 2009.

Do you know if I can safetly delete them?

They're nothing to do with Actinic and are probably some sort of crash report dump. If you're sure that you've no non-Actinic stuff running you should be OK deleting them.

Wait for a few other replies just in case I'm wrong.

I took a back up and deleted it and all seems well.
