Check your network settings would be first on the agenda, make sure you get the pass and the test email. Buy something yourself and try the process.

Network Test passes ok and order is taken ok.
I get the order But customer gets no receipt.

What should the smtp be set to?

If you receive an email from the network test then the email settings are working.

Chances are that the customer is not returning to the site after paying - is the site using Paypal?

If the customer is using Paypal (standard website payments) then you can set your PayPal account up to force a return to your website.

Edit

I should add that this doesn't guarantee you get a receipt, as the customer can still close their browser too soon.

sorry, i meant an order confirmation from actinic
is not getting sent.

In the network connections, does the smtp need login details
to make sure it get sent ?

We could try and guess your problem for days but it all depends on where the problem is.

Can you do this and report back. It'll help identify what's going wrong.

1. Run a network test.

- Do you receive the test email that gets sent?

2. Place a test order.

- make sure you go the the receipt page after paying.
- Do you get the customer email?

3. What is your website where you get the problem?

- This way we can look at your error log and see if there are any clues there.

Unable to relay for info@website-uk.com

2 questions -

1 have you asked your host to turn on mailrelay for website-uk.com

2 is website-uk.com the URL for the site? dont forget the email address in business settings MUST BE on domain. if this is a client website then email addy needs to be @clientdomain.co.uk where site url/domain is clientdomain.co.uk
