Disabling Cart just allow Browsing

I'm about to start publicising my new business i.e. iBabyshop initially through the local press in my area, but I don't want users/customers to be able to add anything to the cart as I'm still waiting for my Merchant Account which should arrive in the next week or so.

Is it possible to allow users just browse and search facility on the catalogue ?

Yes.

Just go to Business settings, select 'ordering' tab and then change the setting for 'online ordering' from 'allowed' to 'suspended'.

For some reason you can actually select both options (i.e. 'allowed' and 'suspended') at the same time which I never understood.

The important part is to uncheck 'Allowed'. If you have 'Allowed' and 'Suspended' checked, the 'Catalog Suspended' message will be displayed instead of the add-to-cart button. This is useful if you just want to temporarily disable the buying process.
