Looking for urgent help! I have Actinic 7, I was looking at design/themes section and tried one of the designs. I have now lost all my original set up details. (I had site designed for me). I have not uploaded the site, so online it is still the old version, but in site1 there is this new version and all my coding has vanished.....

Before you do anything else back up your entire Site1 folder somewhere safe.
Since you're on V7, that infers you've been using Actinic for several years. Have you made any backups of your Site1 folder? If so when were they made?
Once you've done that backup, go to Design / Themes (note down the Theme you're now using) and try to locate the Theme you were using. Try switching to it and see if your design comes back.
If you don't know which Theme you were using, post the URL of your live site as it may be possible to tell from that what the Theme is.
Another thing worth trying is to contact your site designer and ask for help there.

Thank you. My live website is www.breenaart.co.uk. My latest backup was 18/03/10 but when I tried to revert to this it did not give me the theme. I have looked through the list and unfortunately it is not available!

you might need to go back to an older snapshot.
I would go through your snapshots on a different pc until you find your design, then import it - without overwriting orders to the live site.
having taken a snapshot prior to this.
in the future do all experimenting on a separate pc ;)

The design might still be there, if your designer customised a template in the Site1 folder which did not get overwritten when you changed the theme using the menu. Can you contact the designer who set it up?. Or you could search the Site1 folder to find the template using code unique to your layout such as styles.css which is in your template and is a customised addition.

THANK YOU! I found my backup and imported all is fine. Still a novice after all these years! Except for one problem which I had before if anyone could help with...customers can login, and view prices etc. Once they click to purchase they can buy the first item, then when they purchase second item -the error "The specified CGI application exceeded the allowed time for processing. The server has deleted the process". I have read different solutions for this but have not been able to solve it. I will upgrade soon!
