I have a similar request

I have a site where all the products are shipped by the suppliers. Thus if you have an order with products from 2 suppliers actinic can not split the cost as it only holds the total shipping cost per order


But it would be a very useful addition.

we want to show the cost of shipping based on the weight of the product before the customer adds to cart

if you are shipping by weight then the sum of the products weight does not necessarily equate to the individual prices...unless you have addressed that in your shipping tables

yeah we thought of that but we think we have solved it

There is no variable to show shipping weight. The only thing I can recommed is using a custom property to include the shipping weight value into the HTML.
