I'm toying with a new brochure page layout. In using the clean layout number 2, I would like to remove the left-hand vertical column totally.
I need to know exactly what to remove from the act brochure primary template, and also is there anything to watch for, I mean, does it serve any purpose other than housing link buttons etc.
Sorry if its blatantly obvious!
Thanks in advance,
George.

simply remove the column that is the left hand one, and remove the netquotevars too
Take a backup copy first so you can return to a working act-primary if it goes wrong.
The best way to learn is by experimenting (with backups)

It's the removal of these netquotevars that I need advice on. What exactly has to be removed from the `standard` template?

There aren't that many variables that work in a brochure overall layout template. The full list can be seen in the main help file when you go to 'Help | Help Topics | Index' and look at Act_BrochurePrimary.html. You don't 'have to' remove any variables to remove the side bar though.
From memory, there are no variables in the side bar, so you can just remove it by removing the code that says
<td background="palette3bg.gif" valign="top" width="160"><br>
</td>
from Act_BrochurePrimary.html.
