ssl google checkout

can anyone offer any advise on ssl please.

Are site is hosted on actinic on the silver package. but we require ssl for google checkout from what i understand you need ssl for google checkout is their a cheaper method of doing this than actinics hosting for £175 a month?

Just a thought whilst we wait for someone to come along who can answer your question.......

There are one or two on the forum who consider SSL to be a waste of time, and Google Checkout too, to be honest.

You might have a particular reason for wanting GC, but if not have you considered a more "standard" route such as dispensing with SSL and using a PSP such as PayPal Standard, which would allow customers to pay with their credit cards or PayPal account? :)
