View Full Version : Fixing a corrupt Checkout.mde using the replace.bat file.

You can fix the errors listed below by replacing the Checkout.mde file.

Errors:


This database is in an unexpected state; can't open. This database has been converted from a prior version of by using the DOA compact Database method instead of the convert database.
"Error initialising local variables", then "3078The Microsoft Jet Engine cannot find the input table or query 'Local_tblSetup_Global'.

"No Users on Database"

"Unrecognized database format"

‘Copy Data from Server' not shown in (sales screen) Menu F10 even though it’s been selected in Security.

"The Microsoft Jet Database Engine……………..


To replace the file:


Close Actinic EPOS down on all PCs.
On your PC double click "My Computer" or "Computer"
Browse to C:\checkout\
Find the file called "ReplaceMDE.bat" and double click on it.
A small window will briefly open and close again. The file has now been replaced.
Restart EPOS and log on with your usual code.

Please note: if you are using EPOS network, you will need to reconnect your tills to the main database PC:


In Actinic EPOS, go to Setup | This Till | "Connect" tab.
Next to "Path to Data" is a "Connect" button, click this button, it take take upto 5 minutes for the connection to finish.
Repeat this for "Connect Trans", "Connect Orders", "Connect Stock" and "Connect ZRead"


Please note: running replace.bat will also clear the list of tickets you have built up in the "Tickets" screen in EPOS, you will need to build this list up again.
