Time Out

I can go for several days downloading orders without incident, then suddenly when I try to retrieve orders I get the message "The operation timed out". Also, when I try to update the website I get the message "Unable to connect to the FTP server "209.61.224.4." The operation timed out." This goes on for some time, then, four or five days later, everything is back to normal. This has happened three times in the last month. I am using AOL version 8. Any ideas?

Timeout issue are normally an server issue, looking from your error, when you download your orders, it uses ftp connection to get the orders. Also in your error you mentioned, when you are testing the network settings, it says unable to connect to the ftp server

My advise would be to get your hosting company to check the ftp server.
