For correct functioning and best performance, Actinic desktop ecommerce packages (Actinic Catalog, Catalog Client, Business, Business Client, Business Plus, Enterprise and Designer) require certain perl modules to be installed on the server which hosts your web site – see http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=44812.

From Actinic version 10.0.3, the software’s built in Web Site Analysis can accurately determine which perl modules are currently installed on your web hosting package. Just select ‘Troubleshooting’ from the ‘Help’menu, and click the ‘Web Site Analysis’ button to run the check. The results will appear in your default browser. Just scroll down to the Perl Modules section to see which modules you already have installed.

The improved v10.0.3 Web Site Analysis script can also be used with earlier Actinic versions, replacing the one that was included with them. To update your Actinic program with the enhanced script, use the following steps:

Download the new SiteExplorer.pl from http://downloads.actinic.com/SiteExplorer.zip
Extract the one contained file, SiteExplorer.pl, to the site folder (eg C:\Program Files\Actinic v9\Site1)
Select ‘Troubleshooting’ from the ‘Help’menu, and click the ‘Web Site Analysis’ button

There is no need to upload the web site before running the analysis – the new script will be uploaded automatically on demand.
