Hi all

My site has completely gone down, I cant download upload and no one can order!!! It was working fine last night but suddenly now nothing. Desperately needing help............

Firstly when trying to download orders the following error message occurs............'Actinic Ecommerce received a bad method error from the web server. The server is not properly configured to allow Actinic Ecommerce to run CGI scripts from the cgi-bin. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration.'

When trying to upload.....an huge error that fills the page starting with 'an error has occured whilst merging your files' Ive tried to do a screen shot but for some reason it wouldnt work.
When you try to order it shows 'HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed' page. When that is refrsh it shows another long page the contents of which i dont understand.

Anyhelp would be much appreciated

Thanks Aaron

It would help if you posted your sites URL.

I guessed at http://www.intimateadultlingerie.co.uk and got server timeouts and then on a later attempt I was redirected to http://www.theraggedrascal.co.uk/ instead.

It looks like you should be talking to your server people.

Thanks for your reply.

Gawd knows why intimateadultlingerie.co.uk is being refered to there and yes that will be my 1st call to my server tomorrow.

My main address is www.intimateadulttoys.co.uk at the risk of embarassement at the obvious nature of the goods i sell.

At least that site loads.

However Perl (the scripting language that operates the Cart, Checkout and Search) isn't working on your server there.

When I try to run a script the site offers me the script as a download file!

So unless you've changed something in your Network Settings recently, it's very likely a server problem.

I havent change settings this end, tho others here do have access to my pc. Ill call the server first thing and hopefully it will be resolved

Thanks anyway

By the way, your pages would be much smaller if you went to Design / Options / Miscellaneous and checked "Compact HTML/CGI".

Site is now up and running I would like to say it was something really technical i did but it just came up on its own. More stress and strain of running a website!

Glad you're working again.

Re the CompactHTML:- Have a look with Windows Explorer at the page files in PreviewHtml with and without CompactHTML/CGI set. These pages view the same but the compact ones will usually be less than half the size and thus will load much faster, especially for users on dial-up.
