I plan to sell two types of products, and I want two different shipping charges to apply, regardless of quantity.

If a person buys ANY quantity of Product A, I want the overall shipping cost for Product A to be £3.99

If a person buys ANY quantity of Product B, I want the overall shipping cost for Product B to be £1.00

If a person buys a mixture of Product A and Product B, I want the overall shipping cost to be £4.99.

How do I set this up?

Kind regards

Hi,

The only way I can think of to do this is to set the calculation basis to 'Weight'. Then set the weight of Product B to 1kg and Product A to 50kg. Your grid would then look something like:

Weight.....................Cost
49.00.......................1.00
50.00.......................3.99
99.00.......................4.99
100.00.....................3.99
149.00.....................4.99
150.00.....................3.99
etc

Therefore, if someone buys:
up to 49 of Product B they will be charged £1.00

only 1 of Product A they will be charged £3.99

1 of product A and up to 49 of Product B they will be charged £4.99.

The above grid allows for up to 3 of Product A, you would need to fill add to the list for as many as you think might be ordered by one customer. Also if you think that a customer would by more than 49 units of Product B then you will have to make the weight difference greater (possibly by setting a weight of 0.25kg).

I hope this is clear and that it helps.
