Confirmation Page Changes in Cart

I've got products that are "Quantity on Confirmation Page". Products are set to "Sum of Product and Component Parts" or "Sum of Component Parts".
On the confirmation page that's the way it shows...just one unit amount. However, in the cart it gets broken down into the two components or Product and Components.
How do I get the cart to report just the unit total?

Thought I had found the answer (in my sleep) that I had the Component as a Separate Line...so I unchecked that.

But, that wasn't the answer. Here's a product where it happens.

As I understand this is not possible, however you can remove the display of the quantity number from appearing more then once.
