You may have recently received an email from Google advising that as of 22nd September 2011, to use the “Google Product Search data feed” you need to add various new attributes.
With regard to this we have issued the advice below, it is currently the best we can give and is only a temporary fix.

At present, the 'google_product_category' attribute is the only one required for UK based merchants and is mandatory for the following categories:

Apparel & accessories
Media
Video games

Due to the possible amount of space this attribute can use it requires special development in order to be integrated with our software, therefore it is will be introduced in a future release of Actinic ecommerce software.

The instructions below however, will allow you to create the attribute.

In Actinic, go to 'Design | Library | Variables'
Right click on the 'Products' group, and select 'New Variable'
Complete the variables as per the screenshot below:

http://community.actinic.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5157&stc=1&d=1316700829

Click the “OK” button

Now if you take a look at the product in the content tree, and go to the 'Properties' tab, you will see a prompt called 'Google Product Category'.
You will then be able to enter the category of the product from the list of categories shown by clicking on the links below.

When you next export your 'Google Product Search data feed' this attribute will be included for each product you have selected it for.

For the list of categories see below:
http://www.google.com/basepages/producttype/taxonomy.en-US.txt (plain text format)
http://www.google.com/basepages/producttype/taxonomy.en-US.xls (Excel* format)

PLEASE NOTE:

At present this is the best advice we can give and is only a work around. As stated the 'google_product_category' attribute will require special development and therefore is not yet fully supported.

Alternatively you could look at one of the data export programs for Google available from one of the many third party software suppliers for the software such as the one here which support custom fields - http://www.mole-end.co.uk/acatalog/Googlebase.html

* Microsoft Excel is supplied as part of the 'Microsoft Office Professional' program suite, it is not supplied by Actinic.

Although this fix works to some degree, it still is asking for brand name and shipping details which have to be country specified. Also for an attribure what ever that is!

Please advise how actinic cen export a google data feed with the required extra info...

Sincerely

Get yourself over to Mole End and get their Google Mash product, I've just done this on a site never registered before, easy to do, just time consuming.
