I have to reinstall windows at the weekend as we are getting a lot of issues with freezes and crashes etc.
We are currently running 32 bit but do also have a disc for 64 bit.
Any views on whether we should stick to 32 or change to 64?
If my spec has any bearing on the answers then it is:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00ghz
4 gig ram (3 gig usable)
Many thanks

You only load the version of windows that suits your hardware. In your case it looks like 32 bit.
Actinic will work on both but the decision is bound by the hardware.

to fully take advantage of x64 windows, you need to use more memory. than your 4gb youv'e currently got. - 8gb works nice, and 12gb starts to really fly, but having said that, you only start to see the advantage when you start having lots of things open at the same time.
we use x64 + intel i5 and actinic flies, but having said that, coming from an old 2ghz simple processessor with just 3gb of memory, anything would fly.
I've had no problems with running actinic on x32 or x64
personally, I'd stick with x32 until you get a new "modern" computer
